Week 3 of 2008-09 NCAA College Football Season

2008-09 NCAA College Football Season continues on Week 3 starting Thursday night when North Carolina Tar Heels visit the winless Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

North Carolina won their first game beating McNeese State 35-27; they will try to carry the momentum going up against the hungry Rutgers Scarlet Knights. The Knights got clobbered in their first game against Fresno State losing 7-24.

Friday’s game features the game between 14th seed Kansas Jayhawks and the 17th seed South Florida Bulls. Both teams are starting 2008-09 NCAA College Football with a strong campaign winning both their two games. Kansas Jayhawks blanked the Lousiana Tech 29-0 while South Florida whipped UCF Knights 31-24.

This will be an exciting match and looking forward for the three game winning streaks our pick would go on the Kansas Jayhawks winning by at least seven points.

Week 3 of the 2008-09 NCAA College Football kicks off Saturday with Georgia Bulldogs visiting the South Carolina Gamecocks. Problems continue to arise on the side of the Bulldogs, aside from not being chosen as the No. 1 in the coaches’ poll, injury struck senior defensive tackle Jeff Owens. Depth has become the biggest issue for the Bulldogs, who face a brutal schedule as they will face the South Carolina Gamecock, who has a 1-1 win loss mark. Our pick for this game – Bulldogs by slimmest of margin.

UCLA Bruins led by their head coach Rick Neuheisel could not asked for more as the UCLA beat no. 18 Tennessee 27-24 in a wild season opener. They will face the BYU Cougars who also won their first two assignments with the last one against Washington.

Number one seed USC Trojans faces one of their toughest tasks early in the season as they battle 3rd seed Ohio State Buckeyes. USC’s 52-7 win over Virginia paved the way to experiment on his team. He got to use three different quarterbacks. Six different running backs carried the ball. And, more than a handful of Trojans were able to make their debuts.According to the participation reports, and eight different true freshmen took the field for the Trojans, getting their first taste of collegiate competition. But this won’t probably happen as they will face Ohio State Buckeyes, who has a 2-0 mark. Our pick for this game – USC Trojans cover the spread by a field goal.

Next up is the game between Wisconsin Badgers and Fresno State Bulldogs. Badgers dismantled their previous opponent Marshall 51-14 while Fresno State won over Rutgers 24-7. Our pick for this game would be the Badgers winning by three touchdowns.

Washington Huskies would like to join the winning column as they play the blazing Oklahoma Broyles who have all of their assignment in the early season of the 2008-09 NCAA College Football.
